Steps to clean a wool cap
Hand washing Never put a woolen hat in the dryer that's the easiest thing with baby shampoo- Fill the sink with cold or lukewarm water to wash the cap by hand. Never use hot water, as this will cause the cup to shrink.
- Add either a mild detergent intended for wool, or even baby shampoo. Baby shampoo is very gentle and is a good choice for wool. Shake the water by hand to make a little foam.
- Immerse your cap and gently squeeze several times to absorb and release the water. Let it soak for about 5 minutes. If the bonnet is very dirty, drain the sink and repeat the washing process
- Drain the wash water. Fill the sink with fresh water. Submerge the cap and squeeze gently to rinse off the wash water. Repeat if necessary.
- Lay the hat flat to dry on a towel.
